Move through frozen, furious anger into healthy self-awareness and healing via 10-modules containing stories, insights, body-based learning and writing prompts.
From a young age, we’re taught anger is dangerous.
That it’s ugly. Too powerful.
That ‘nice girls’ don’t get angry, and angry men are violent.
So how do we recognize it when we’ve spent a lifetime suppressing it?
How do we tell the difference between clean, righteous anger and sticky resentment or icy denial?
And when it spills out everywhere—hurting us and others—how do we find our way back to center?
If you’re nodding along, know this:
You recognize the difference between instinctive anger and murky resentment.
You catch yourself before tipping into rage or passive aggression.
You trust the rise of protective anger, instead of fearing it.
You begin to see anger as a truth-teller—a signpost for your boundaries.
And you express your big emotions with clarity and power, without collapse or harm.
Honouring your anger starts with feeling. Allowing.
Then learning to contain and channel it, by working with unique, creative, healing themes (drawn from mythology, anatomy and anthropology).

From Anger to Action: Honouring Your Rage
Hi, I’m Janelle—and I have a particular passion for anger-work.
My own rage was unearthed through deep grief, revealing fury I hadn’t known was there: about injustice, cruelty, and all I’d been taught to silently endure.
Like many, I was socialized into the role of the “nice girl,” where anger wasn’t allowed, boundaries were blurred, and pleasing others came first.
But rage is a powerful teacher. It shows us where our boundaries are—and when they’re being crossed.
That’s why I help people work with their big feelings and life stories. I’ve spent 17+ years doing trauma-informed bodywork (Structural Integration), and I recently earned my Somatic Experiencing certification. I’ve taught groups and individuals for even longer.
My work braids creativity, body-wisdom, and cultural healing into pathways toward ease, spaciousness, and joy.
Join me in reclaiming your rage. It’s rich, healing, and deeply empowering.

Good question!
Working with our anger is an ongoing process, so I designed these 10 lessons to contain ideas, concepts, exercises and prompts that will spark the most shift for you, with the least time and financial cost.
I’m also delivering them to all at once (but recommend taking it in slowly) so you can self-pace. It may be that you move through the material swiftly, and it may be that one lesson takes a month to digest and integrate.
Absolutely. I offer an online 6-month transformational memoir-writing course called The Art of Personal Mythmaking, various other self-directed courses related to healing through writing, two annual online summits, and 1-1 somatic healing sessions.

Thanks for asking.
I’ve got 17+ years experience doing hands-on healing work, 6+ years experience facilitating group healing processes (my Art of Personal Mythmaking course) and I got almost all of my Hospice Yukon volunteer training done (all about death, dying, grief and how to accompany people in their grieving.)
The only reason I didn’t finish the Hospice Yukon training was because in 2010, after 4 years living with leukemia, my father died. At that moment I left the anticipatory training grounds of griefwork and I began my experiential apprenticeship with death and grief.
You may think that griefwork has nothing to do with anger-work, but I assure you, the two emotions go hand-in-hand. One is needed by the other, and both are states that are discouraged in many contemporary cultures.
I’ve gone through my own initiation into my anger and fury, learning, over many years, to shed the stiff and rigid good-girl-agreeableness that masked an overwhelming reservoir of anger (and grief.)
Learning to really and truly feel, and to discern between righteous protective anger, healthy boundaries and my own sense of self-worth was pivotal to understanding anger as a force for protection as well as destruction.
