There’s a kind of hush that winter wants to bring us

But instead, we get busy. Burnt out.

Pulled into the brightness of everything.

If you're craving a way to opt out of the noise and into a deeper rhythm, one your body remembers, even if your calendar forgot,

Honouring the Darkness is for you.

10 days. 10 soul-led dispatches.

Starting December 12, leading up to winter solstice.

Each daily email is a candle in the dark

You’ll receive:

  • A potent story or song - you’ll meet ancient 🧞‍♀️ goddesses 🧞‍♂️ and strange 🪇 wood instruments

  • Gentle somatic invitations - You’ll wander the 🕯️ underworld 🕯️ and build a womb-room of your own

  • Writing prompts that open portals, not pressure - you’ll remember what it feels like to rest into yourself.

In the 10 days leading up to December 21st’s winter solstice, trust this: you don’t need to do it all.

Just open your daily email from me. Breathe. Begin.

This is a subversive act of seasonal remembering.

A reclamation of darkness as sanctuary, aloneness as nurture, and stillness as soul-fuel.

Hi there! I’m Janelle.

I grew up in the far northwest of Canada where darkness and winter isn’t metaphor, it’s everything.

Up here, we honour solstice like a heartbeat. The darkest night is the turning point.

That’s why I created this annual offering that invites you to slow down, sink in, and remember your mythic self.

The stories and prompts I share are old and strange and wildly alive. They’ll stir your creative spirit and soothe your nervous system.

Let’s not rush to return to the light.

Let’s linger here, in the dark.

Together.

"Janelle’s 10 Days of Darkness series is breathtaking.
The blend of storytelling, music, and somatic practices was reflective, healing, and rejuvenating."

💌 E. Ce Miller, writer, USA 💌
