Hi there. My name is Janelle and I’ve got a particular passion for grief-work.
My initiation into deep grief was catalyzed by the dissolution of two important relationships, the loss of much of my identity when I became a self-employed solo mother, and, finally, my father’s diagnosis of leukemia.
Facing mortality followed by four years of watching my dad live with then die from cancer was a shattering into grief.
During my dad’s cancer I also did my local Hospice Society’s volunteer training, until, as I was almost complete, he died.
So one of the things I do is help people like you work with their big grief, their big feelings, and their lifestories.
I’ve been working as a trauma-informed Structural Integrator doing one-on-one hands-on healing bodywork for 13+ years, and teaching individuals and groups for even longer.
I’m skilled in braiding our creativity and our body-wisdom together with our deep cultural knowing and self exploration (and grief is a great catalyst for self-exploration) to create spaciousness, ease and joy in our lives.
So join me in honouring your grief.
It’ll be rich, healing, and, ultimately, very joyful.
